         RADIO

I make radio stories about trains and stuff.
I'm KALW's transportation beat reporter. I am also the lead producer of the Solano Prison Storytelling Project from KALW.
I learned the craft of radio journalism in KALW's Audio Academy. I also interned with The California Report and KQED News.

Some highlights

My first feature for KALW, which was later picked up by The California Report.  Web article
"Sometimes I put on my jumpsuit, I feel like a ground astronaut." I rode along with BART Operator Alan Hollie and produced this piece without narration.
The Wonderful Windows of Oz - The surprising story of L. Frank Baum's influential career in retail. Before creating the Oz Books, Baum was a pioneer in creating other fantasy lands - behind department store windows.
I also wrote
The Wizard in the White City, a blog piece going deeper into the ways Baum was inspired by the Chicago Word's Fair.
