Eli Wirtschafter sounds like Nick Drake in a better mood. The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist grew up in Berkeley immersed in family folk jams and the ghost of 60s counterculture. At age four, he found his first love, the violin, which he has explored in classical, jazz, klezmer, and folk music. As a songwriter, he brings a playful spirit and a love of language to big questions and quiet moments. Leaving the Bay Area for Los Angeles during the pandemic sparked his debut album, Rose Colored Town, a search for love, home, and a moment’s peace.
